What are TiE Boston's guiding principles and values?
TiE Boston is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship. Founded in 1997, TiE Boston connects tomorrow's founders with today's entrepreneurs, executives and venture capitalists, through it's unparalleled network of successful, serial entrepreneurs who are deeply engaged and committed to giving back to the community by providing mentorship, tactical advice, and expertise to rising entrepreneurs. TiE Boston's signature programs enable entrepreneurs to achieve their full potential in personal and professional growth.

What are the ongoing services or programs that you provide?
TiE Boston implements its programs on the five pillars of education, mentorship, incubation, networking, and access to funding. Signature programs include:

1. TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program, running since 2005, is a 7-month program that challenges high school aged youth through a STEM project-based learning opportunity where students collaborate with their peers to create a real startup. Students learn directly from startup founders and industry experts and receive guidance from dedicated mentors to help coach them through the challenges and rewards of creating their own business. Through this program, students have the opportunity to develop the hard skills they will need to be prepared for the workforce and develop the 21st century skills that will support them in high school, college and beyond. For more information, please visit www.tye-boston.org

2. TiE ScaleUp: TiE ScaleUp, running since 2015, is an equity-free program that serves startup founders, in the Seed to Series A category, by providing each cohort company with curated mentorship from industry veterans, weekly workshops led by veteran entrepreneurs and domain experts, access to funders, an active alumni community, and a lifelong connection to TiE’s esteemed global professional network. It is a sector agnostic accelerator and encourages diversity. For more information visit www.tiescaleup.org/

3. TiE Boston Women: This program embraces, engages and empowers women entrepreneurs irrespective of their enterprise, origin, standing or background. Through this program, women entrepreneurs get access to a global network of mentors and the opportunity to present their startups to a global audience. For more information, visit www.tieboston.org/women

4. TiE U Boston: The aim of TiE U Boston is to foster entrepreneurship among college and university students across the globe. For more information, please visit www.tieboston.org/tie-u-boston

5. TiE Boston Angels: TiE Boston Angels is a group of accredited investors who provide funding and support for early-stage US-based companies. Beyond funding, we leverage the TiE global network to provide mentoring, networking and company scale-up support to help companies succeed. For more information, please visit www.tieboston.org/angels

TiE Boston also runs Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for entrepreneurs who have affinity in a specific area of interest.

Are there any upcoming projects, initiatives, or events that your organization would like others to know about?

TYE is currently inviting high school students to apply for its 20th cohort this Fall, and middle school students to apply for the summer bootcamp. Interested parents and students may find more details at www.tye-boston.org

TiE Boston Women will be announcing the annual Women Pitch Competition shortly, and applications will open in April 2024, which can be viewed here: www.tieboston.org/women. Women entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit their applications.

TiECON East 2024, the largest annual conference on the east coast for entrepreneurs, is scheduled for September 13, 2024. It will be held at the Sheraton Boston, with several Keynotes and panels. We encourage entrepreneurs and senior executives from the area to attend it.
