What are TiE Boston's guiding principles and values?
TiE Boston is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship. Founded in 1997, TiE Boston connects tomorrow's founders with today's entrepreneurs, executives and venture capitalists, through it's unparalleled network of successful, serial entrepreneurs who are deeply engaged and committed to giving back to the community by providing mentorship, tactical advice, and expertise to rising entrepreneurs. TiE Boston's signature programs enable entrepreneurs to achieve their full potential in personal and professional growth. What are the ongoing services or programs that you provide? TiE Boston implements its programs on the five pillars of education, mentorship, incubation, networking, and access to funding. Signature programs include: 1. TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program, running since 2005, is a 7-month program that challenges high school aged youth through a STEM project-based learning opportunity where students collaborate with their peers to create a real startup. Students learn directly from startup founders and industry experts and receive guidance from dedicated mentors to help coach them through the challenges and rewards of creating their own business. Through this program, students have the opportunity to develop the hard skills they will need to be prepared for the workforce and develop the 21st century skills that will support them in high school, college and beyond. TiE ScaleUp: TiE ScaleUp, running since 2015, is an equity-free program that serves startup founders, in the Seed to Series A category, by providing each cohort company with curated mentorship from industry veterans, weekly workshops led by veteran entrepreneurs and domain experts, access to funders, an active alumni community, and a lifelong connection to TiE’s esteemed global professional network. It is a sector agnostic accelerator and encourages diversity. For more information visit www.tiescaleup.org/ 3.
