AUDIENCE DESCRIPTIONS
CNC Monthly Newsletter
Every month CNC shares information on CNC led and community events, grant opportunities, new perspectives and research, job postings for member organizations, City of Cambridge initiatives relevant to nonprofits, and more. This free monthly resource is delivered to an 800+ email list with a 50% open rate. 440+ of these emails are addressed to staff at Cambridge nonprofits.
Executive Director (ED) Lunches
A monthly opportunity for leaders to connect, network, support each other, and share
valuable information. EDs meet from September through June, alternating between
in-person and Zoom sessions. Meetings are open to the EDs or CEOs of any Cambridge
nonprofit. Typical attendance is 10-20 Executive Directors. These meetings are promoted
twice a month via email.
Cambridge City Leaders Breakfast
An annual opportunity for informed dialogue between nonprofit professionals and our
city officials. City leaders have a chance to share their perspective on the challenges they
face and our leadership shares its priorities in relation to the City. 100+ attendees from the
nonprofit and public sectors are expected for this in-person breakfast in January, 2025.
UnCharitable Film Screening
Led by Dan Pallotta, whose record-breaking TED Talk on the subject has inspired leading philanthropists and changemakers, UnCharitable is a feature-length documentary directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal that exposes the dark side of philanthropy and introduces a radical new way of giving. CNC will incorporate a panel discussion of the film to help the audience engage in this critical topic. 100+ attendees across the nonprofit, philanthropic, corporate and public sectors are expected for this in person event in the Spring, 2025.
Annual Meeting
Celebrates and recognizes our collective achievements and forges connections in
Cambridge among leaders from local nonprofits, government, and businesses. CNC
delivers its state of the sector report. and participants learn and explore current concerns
together in dynamic group discussions. There is another venue for open networking. 70+
attendees are expected for this event in June, 2025.
