Chisom Okpoko
Chisom is a Boston College Master of Social Work fellow at Cambridge Nonprofit Coalition. She brings over five years of experience working in corporate settings and on community engagement projects. Prior to coming to CNC, she interned at Families-First, where she functioned as the DEIB intern, committed to supporting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) work at Families First. She previously worked in the commercial banking sector in Nigeria as a customer service officer and central support staff for Unity Bank PLC- Nigeria.
In the nonprofit space, Chisom had volunteered as a communication and field support personnel at Basileia Vulnerable Person Right Initiative in Nigeria. And had been involved in working with diverse vulnerable communities and groups in Nigeria. She is currently studying for her MSW in Children Youth and Families Practice, on a macro track. She holds a Masters degree in Development Communication, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. She is passionate about touching lives and bringing about social change in diverse communities. Chisom is also intrigued & curious about understanding how the nonprofit space in the U.S. works. She brings her past experiences, and curiosity to learn, to support the work at Cambridge Nonprofit Coalition. |
